Spectral theory of regular sequences

چکیده
Regular sequences are natural generalisations of fixed points constant-length substitutions on finite alphabets, that is, automatic sequences. Using the harmonic analysis measures associated to as motivation, we study limiting asymptotics regular by constructing a systematic measure-theoretic framework surrounding them. The constructed mass distributions supported attractors iterated function systems.

Regular Sequences and the Joint Spectral Radius
We classify the growth of a k-regular sequence based on information from its k-kernel. In order to provide such a classification, we introduce the notion of a growth exponent for k-regular sequences and show that this exponent is equal to the joint spectral radius of any set of a special class of matrices determined by the k-kernel.
متن کاملNote on regular and coregular sequences
Let R be a commutative Noetherian ring and let M be a nitely generated R-module. If I is an ideal of R generated by M-regular sequence, then we study the vanishing of the rst Tor functors. Moreover, for Artinian modules and coregular sequences we examine the vanishing of the rst Ext functors.
متن کاملSome Spectral Sequences in Morava E-theory
Morava E-theory is a much-studied theory important in understanding K(n)-local stable homotopy theory, but it is not a homology theory in the usual sense. The object of this paper is to show that the usual computational methods, spectral sequences, used to compute with homology theories also apply to Morava E-theory. Conceptually, we show that Morava E-theory is n derived functors away from bei...
متن کاملNormal form theory and spectral sequences
The goal of this paper is to show that spectral sequences give us a natural language in which to describe the process of computing the unique normal form. For a solid modern introduction to normal form theory and its historical development, see [Mur03b]. Although this is in no way intended as a review of (unique) normal form theory, let me give the reader some references to the literature which...
متن کاملSpectral Sequences in (equivariant) Stable Homotopy Theory
1. The homotopy fixed-point spectral sequence: 5/15/17 Today, Richard spoke about the homotopy fixed-point spectral sequence in equivariant stable homotopy theory. We’ll start with the Bousfield-Kan spectral sequence (BKSS). One good reference for this is Guillou’s notes [4], and Hans Baues [2] set it up in a general model category. We’ll work in sSet, so that everything is connective. Consider...
